Special Education Teacher in Blessing, TX

What’s needed to succeed in this role:

• Active Special Education certification
• Generalist certification required
• Previous experience in special education or self-contained classroom settings preferred
• Commitment to full-time availability (40 hours per week) from August 3, 2026, to May 31, 2027
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized support to students in a self-contained environment
• Develop, adapt, and execute lesson plans aligned with IEPs and state standards
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Collaborate closely with general education teams, paraprofessionals, and families to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom experience
• Maintain an organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment
• Participate in professional development sessions and team meetings
