Classroom Aide | Wilmington, Massachusetts

Step into a vital support role in an elementary 3rd grade classroom, working as a Paraprofessional to foster student growth and achievement. This contract position begins ASAP and lasts through the end of the current school year, with strong potential for renewal for the 2025/2026 year. Located near Wilmington, MA, you'll work full-time Monday through Friday, collaborating with an experienced teacher to create an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous paraprofessional or classroom assistant experience in school settings strongly preferred
• Familiarity with supporting elementary students, particularly in small group settings
• Understanding of 504 plans and experience assisting students with individualized needs
• Strong communication skills, patience, and commitment to building positive relationships
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and educational staff
• Flexibility, reliability, and the desire to help students thrive

Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher with daily lesson implementation in the 3rd grade classroom
• Provide targeted support to students individually and in small groups, adapting materials as needed
• Help implement accommodations for students with 504 plans and support their participation in classroom activities
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team
• Supervise students in classroom and other school settings as assigned
