Summer Teacher Aide/Teaching Assistants

This contract opportunity involves working closely with students in a summer school setting, fostering growth, independence, and engagement in daily classroom activities from July 6th to August 14th, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. Key Qualifications:

• Active New York State license/certificate required for Teacher Assistants
• Certification for Aides is highly preferred but not required; strong 1:1 experience is especially valuable
• Proven ability to support students individually in both academic and behavioral contexts
• Adaptable, patient, and communicative in fast-paced educational settings
• Prior experience in a school-based or special education environment desired

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to assigned students during classroom instruction and activities
• Assist with academic tasks, social engagement, and personal care as needed
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to implement educational strategies
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of student progress and behaviors
