American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring Epic EMR experience and a CA RN license, working night shifts on a 36 or 48-hour weekly schedule.

- Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care hospital setting \n
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts \n
- 36 or 48 hours per week available \n
- Epic EMR used; prior Epic experience is required \n
- \n
- Active CA RN license required \n
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required \n
- Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required \n
- Current PALS certification (American Heart Association) required \n
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire \n
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required within 6 months of hire; Advanced Fetal Monitoring required within 1 year of hire \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required, with clinical experience in the specialty within the last 3 months \n
- Active, unrestricted RN license with no prior hits on record \n
- BSN preferred \n
- Two supervisory references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years \n
- Specialty-specific skills checklist completed within the past year required for consideration \n

- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during the assigned shift \n
- Develops and implements nursing care plans based on the nursing process, consistent with the medical plan of care \n
- Collaborates with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care across all age groups including neonatal through geriatric \n
- Incorporates patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall care plan \n
- Delegates patient care tasks to other nursing staff within their clinical competence and legal scope of practice \n
- This position is represented by the California Nurses Association (CNA) \n
