BHS Workforce is seeking a travel nurse RN Post Partum for a travel nursing job in Lexington, Kentucky.

Requirements:
\n- \n
- Active RN license in state of practice (or compact license as applicable) \n
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy \n
- BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required \n
- RNC-MNN (Maternal Newborn Nursing) certification preferred \n
- 1+ years of mother baby/postpartum experience required \n
- Experience with postpartum maternal care and newborn assessment \n
Duties:
\n- \n
- Provide couplet care to postpartum mothers and their newborns following vaginal or cesarean delivery \n
- Assess maternal recovery, including fundal checks, lochia, and incision/perineal care \n
- Perform newborn assessments, including vital signs, feeding, and screening tests \n
- Support and educate mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and bonding \n
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders for mother and baby \n
- Monitor for postpartum complications (hemorrhage, infection, preeclampsia) and escalate care as needed \n
- Educate patients and families on newborn care, safety, and discharge instructions \n
- Collaborate with OB physicians, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care \n
- Accurately document maternal and newborn assessments, interventions, and response in the EMR \n
- Support families through the transition to parenthood, including emotional and educational support \n
