📍 Utica, NY | 🗓️ 13 Weeks | ⏱️ 40 hrs/week | ☀️ 4x10-Hour Day Shifts
\n Seeking an experienced Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist to support cardiovascular surgical procedures in a specialized operating room. Candidates should have strong knowledge of cardiac surgical instrumentation and be comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.
\n Responsibilities:
\n Prepare and maintain the sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures
\n Assist surgeons during open-heart and cardiovascular operations
\n Ensure proper handling and availability of surgical instruments and equipment
\n Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the OR team to provide safe patient care
\n Maintain accurate surgical counts and adhere to sterile technique
\n Float to other surgical areas as needed based on department census
\n Requirements:
\n Minimum 1 year of CVOR/Cardiovascular Operating Room experience
\n Current BLS and ACLS certifications
\n Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
\n Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and instrumentation
\n Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
\n Assignment Details:
\n 13-week assignment
\n 40 hours per week (4x10-hour day shifts)
\n On-call required: Minimum 7 days per month, including 5 weekday nights and at least 1 weekend
\n Adult patient population
\n 2 CVOR suites
\n 1:1 staffing ratio
\n Floating required when census is low
\n Local and travel candidates accepted (75-mile radius policy)
