Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of IR experience, Epic proficiency, and ARRT certification for a 13-week travel assignment.

  • Interventional radiology unit within a community hospital setting
  • \n
  • Day shifts, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • \n
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • \n
  • Procedures include angioplasty, aortography, embolization, IVC filter placement and removal, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, renal angiography, uterine arterial embolization, nephrostomy, biliary drainage, gastrostomy tube placement, thoracentesis, paracentesis, vertebroplasty, discogram, upper and lower extremity angiography, and more
  • \n
  • Venous access procedures include PICC lines, central venous lines, port placement, and dialysis graft interventions (fistulograms/declots)
  • \n
  • Equipment includes fluoroscopy, Siemens imaging systems, ultrasound, and PACS
  • \n
  • Epic EMR required
  • \n
  • Call and rotational holiday shifts required
  • \n
  • Candidates residing within 90 miles of the facility are considered local and may be eligible at a different pay rate
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Minimum of 1 year of interventional radiology experience
  • \n
  • Active ARRT (R) certification required
  • \n
  • Current BLS required (AHA preferred; ARC not accepted; military certifications acceptable)
  • \n
  • Texas Medical Board (TMB) license required if applicable
  • \n
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • \n
  • Travel experience required
  • \n
  • Teaching hospital and/or community hospital experience preferred
  • \n
  • Proficiency in sterile technique, scrubbing, room circulator duties, and infection control
  • \n
  • Experience with venous access including ports, PICC lines, and central venous lines
  • \n
  • Proficiency with fluoroscopy and PACS systems
  • \n
  • SSN, DOB, and a state-issued photo ID required for consideration
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating for a wide range of IR procedures, maintaining sterile field, equipment setup, and accurate procedural monitoring
  • \n
  • Orientation includes both billable pre-start modules and non-billable on-site modules, tracked in Healthstream; module hours vary by specialty
  • \n
  • RTO of up to 5 non-consecutive days may be requested for management approval; during the holiday season (November–January), only one holiday RTO request will be considered
  • \n
  • All RTO must be approved by management prior to contract signing and will be reflected in the Work Order Confirmation
  • \n
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
  • \n
