Edenbrook Yeadon is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist (part-time and/or PRN) to join our team. The Physical Therapist will develop and implement individualized therapy programs to enhance patient performance and independence. The ideal candidate will focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical rehabilitation through evidence-based practices. This role involves working with patients of varying needs and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Position: Physical Therapist (part-time and/or PRN)
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patient performance.
- Identify the need for and make referrals to other healthcare disciplines as necessary to address the comprehensive needs of the patient.
- Instruct, educate, and train patients and caregivers in skills and functions essential for promoting patient independence, improving quality of life, and diminishing or correcting pathology.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, provisional licensees, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.
- Develop personalized care plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
- Create fitness and wellness programs tailored to the specific needs of patients.
- Provide quality, personalized, and evidence-based care using proven interventions.
- Motivate patients during treatment to help them function optimally and reach their rehabilitation goals.
- Promote clients' healthy lifestyles by improving their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
- Continuously evaluate patient progress, monitor outcomes, and communicate updates effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program.
- Active state Physical Therapy license in good standing.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation protocols and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
