We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Pearl Pointe in Freeport, Illinois. As a COTA at Pearl Pavilion, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their maximum level of independence and quality of life.

About the Role

At Pearl Pavilion, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and services to our residents. Our team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, rehabilitation therapists, and care staff, work together to provide a comprehensive range of services designed to meet the unique needs of each resident. As a COTA, you will work closely with our occupational therapy team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, provide guidance and support to residents, and promote independence and skills development.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists with developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents in our Skilled Nursing community

• Conduct occupational therapy sessions and provide guidance and support to residents to achieve their goals

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the occupational therapy process and apply principles to promote resident independence and skill development

• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and support for residents

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care and therapy sessions

• Provide education and training to residents, families, and staff on occupational therapy techniques and strategies

Requirements

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification

• Degree from an accredited COTA program

• Experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
