Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - Up to $2,000 Hiring Incentive

Kings Harbor Multicare Center is looking for a part time or PRN therapist

.  Work flexible hours.  The rate per hour is $38. 

$2,000 SIGN ON BONUS for FULLTIME

Below are some of the job responsibilities:

§  Must be a graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program with an AAS Degree; registered in New York State.

§  Provides treatment of residents/outpatients in accordance with MD orders under the supervision of a licensed OT and as scheduled.

§  Assists in ongoing assessment of the residents’/outpatients’ status by observing the clients’ response to treatment and reporting these observations to the licensed OT.

§  Collaborates with Physicians and other members of the health care team relative to residents’/outpatients’ treatment and progress in OT.

§  Documents residents’/outpatients’ status on progress reports, home assessments and discharge summaries as required by the facility, in an accurate and timely manner, and in accordance with HMOs, Federal and New York State regulations. These notes are reviewed and countersigned by a licensed OT prior to being placed in residents’/outpatients’ chart.

§  Documents and updates residents’ status in OT on their comprehensive care plans in a timely manner.

§  Transposes residents’ information onto the MDS in an accurate and time manner.

§  Records residents’/outpatients’ modality treatments in OT daily.
