Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in New Haven, Connecticut. As a leader in short-term rehabilitation and nursing care, we are committed to delivering unparalleled quality care to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
Conduct occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and modalities, to promote patient recovery and independence
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the occupational therapist
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and share knowledge
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
Familiarity with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology
