Northern Neck Senior Care Community is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our IN-HOUSE therapy team! New Grads Welcome!

*$2,500 Re-location Assistance/Sign-On Bonus Available*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions such as exercises, gait training, balance activities, and use of assistive devices.

  • Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Assist residents with mobility and physical functioning to support daily living activities.

  • Educate residents, caregivers, and staff on mobility techniques and use of adaptive equipment.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments, progress notes, and other required records.

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all residents.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to support resident care plans.

  • Adhere to all federal, state, and facility regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current VA licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

  • Prior experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric setting preferred.

  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
