Forklift Operator

Job Title: Forklift Operator Location: East Durham, NY 12423 Type: Contract to possible hire Compensation: $24.50/hr Work Model: Onsite 12 Hour Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - (two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off rotation- built in OT)

Forklift Operator Responsibilities

• Responsible for receipt, administration, control, and management of inventory of raw and packaging materials.
• Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) such as forklifts to perform all inventory moves.
• Input and manage data related to items purchased and used by the company.
• Complete daily stock transactions and supply materials to production areas.
• Ensure inventory levels and accuracy using ERP systems.
• Complete daily checklists and logbooks.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for departmental systems and processes.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including site, quality, and SOPs.
• Maintain company core values by treating everyone with respect and dignity.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and reading/writing comprehension of English.
• Flexibility to work extended hours to achieve results.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in a high-energy, fast-paced, cGMP warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP or WMS systems.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with little supervision.
• Effective oral and written communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Ability to influence others and utilize analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PIT operation or certifications.
• Inventory control and receiving/shipping experience.
