Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) - Per Diem / PRN


Are you a passionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) looking for a flexible opportunity to make a difference? Join our team at Plaza Health & Rehabilitation as a Per Diem COTA! In this role, you’ll provide vital support in our subacute rehabilitation facility, helping patients regain their independence in a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with our skilled Occupational Therapists to assess patient needs and implement individualized treatment plans that inspire recovery and progress.
  • Engage patients in meaningful therapeutic activities, empowering them to reach their rehabilitation goals and enhance their quality of life.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, sharing insights with the Occupational Therapist to ensure optimal care.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment strategies and exercises, fostering a supportive atmosphere for healing.
  • Work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic, patient-centered care that makes a real difference.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to facility policies and regulatory standards.
  • Create a safe, encouraging environment for all patients, making each therapy session a positive experience.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy, bringing fresh ideas to your practice.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Experience in a subacute rehabilitation setting is a plus, but we welcome enthusiastic candidates eager to grow!
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • A flexible team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to enhancing patient outcomes.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and assist patients as necessary.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
