Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Per Diem

About the Role:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality rehabilitation services to our guests. You will work closely with our licensed Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists to design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists with the development and implementation of treatment plans, under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist

• Perform rehabilitation therapy treatments, including exercise programs, manual therapy, and modalities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of guests' physical function, range of motion, strength, and mobility

• Document treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner

• Communicate effectively with guests, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination

• Participate in guest care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss guests' progress and plan for discharge

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program

• Completion of a physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)

• Ability to lift, transfer, and move guests with mobility impairments
