Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Guide patients through therapeutic activities and exercises to improve motor skills, coordination, and independence
Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising therapist
Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to enhance functional performance
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
Support patients in using adaptive equipment and assistive technology
Promote a safe and encouraging environment for rehabilitation
Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current certification by the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
State licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in pediatric, adult, or geriatric settings is a plus
