Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work on a per-diem basis with our occupational therapy team. The successful candidate will assist occupational therapists in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our residents, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities
Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
Conduct Occupational Therapy assistants' in the areas of daily living skills, such as dressing, grooming, and bathing
Provide patient education and training on adaptive techniques and assistive devices
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans
Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Requirements
Active license & certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Missouri
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents with mobility and transfer techniques
Basic knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and principles
