Physical Therapist Floater - PT Full Time
The Physical Therapist Floater will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by performing physical therapy evaluations, developing treatment plans, and implementing appropriate therapy interventions across multiple locations in Gainesville, Ocala, and Williston, Florida.
This is a salaried position that requires flexibility, the ability to adapt to various environments, and a commitment to delivering consistent care in different clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform initial physical therapy assessments and re-evaluations to establish a plan of care.- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient’s needs, goals, and physician recommendations.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques to help patients recover and regain function.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists) to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of home exercise programs and injury prevention techniques.
- Document patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Travel between locations in Gainesville, Ocala, and Williston, Florida, to provide care as needed, ensuring a seamless experience for patients.
- Maintain flexibility to work in various environments, adjusting to the specific needs and requirements of each location.
- Assist in covering staffing shortages and ensuring continuity of care across multiple clinics or departments.
Qualifications:
Education: Doctoral or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.- Licensing/Certification: Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
Experience: Previous experience as a physical therapist in a clinical or hospital setting preferred. Experience in various therapy settings (e.g., inpatient, outpatient, home health) is a plus.
