RN CSICU

This RN CSICU (Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit) role is based in Tallahassee, FL at a 288-bed acute-care hospital serving Leon and Gadsden Counties. The facility operates a 24/7 Emergency Department, a Heart & Vascular Center, a Chest Pain Center with PCI-Resuscitation capability, a Stroke Center, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, among other specialty services.

The role. Cardiac Surgery ICU nurses here provide close monitoring and frequent assessments for a high-acuity patient population, making autonomous clinical judgments and managing treatment in a fast-moving environment. You will serve as a primary advocate for patients and families, protecting privacy and confidentiality throughout the care continuum. Patient and family education — including medications and post-procedure treatment instructions — is a core part of the position. The unit operates collaboratively, with nurses expected to contribute actively to continuous quality improvement alongside their peers.

What we're looking for.

• 1+ years of acute care ICU or PCU experience required
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact RN license required; compact license holders must obtain the Florida license within 60 days of relocation
• BLS required
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• NIHSS stroke certification required within 30 days of employment start date
• CCRN must be obtained within 2 years of hire (preferred)
• BSN preferred
