Activities Aide

Aurora Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a dependable, enthusiastic and flexible Activities Aide.  Are you always willing to jump in and help where you’re needed? Requirements:

·         A high school diploma or GED preferred

·         Experience in a Geriatric role is desirable

What you will do as an Activities Aide:

·         Assist the Activities Director in planning, developing, organizing and implementing the activities program.

·         Assist with resident activities, crafts, and social engagement opportunities. 

·         Work cooperatively with other departments, visitors and volunteers to  provide companionship and support to residents while promoting dignity and quality of life. 

·         Assist in the creation of an activity calendar for residents of different functioning levels.

·         Keep accurate records for those you work with and report any changes in a resident’s condition to the nursing department immediately.

·         Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks.
