Title: Med-Surg Nursing Manager

Location: Georgetown, TX

Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)

Compensation: $85,000 - $113,000/year (based on experience)

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000

Position Overview

A well-regarded acute care hospital north of Austin, TX is seeking a Med Surg Nursing Manager to lead its 45-bed Med Surg unit. This hands-on leadership role ensures high-quality patient care, staff development, and operational efficiency while maintaining a strong presence on the floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Med Surg unit, ensuring safe, patient-centered care
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including delegation and performance evaluations
• Round on patients and staff daily to maintain high standards and support team needs
• Oversee compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Monitor unit performance metrics and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and other departments to optimize patient care

Required Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN license in Texas (or compact license eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to be hands-on when necessary
• BLS certification

• Unit size: 45 beds with a variety of diagnoses
