Job Description
We are hiring for an ICU RN in Cleveland, OH for our client.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Continuous patient assessment and monitoring
- Management of critically ill patients
- Administration of medications and IV therapies
- Management of life-support equipment
- Monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Ventilator and respiratory care support
- Emergency response and rapid intervention
- Development and implementation of individualized care plans
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Electronic medical record documentation
- Patient and family education and support
- Central line care
- Management of advanced therapies and critical care equipment including:
o Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
o Impella devices
o Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
o Therapeutic hypothermia
o Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO)
o Left ventricular assist devices (LVAD)
o Mechanical ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Post-operative critical care management
- Monitoring for acute heart failure, myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, stroke, GI bleeding, and sepsis
- Participation in quality improvement activities and staff meetings
Requirements
- Graduation from a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
- Current license from the Ohio Board of Nursing or current multi-state license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years
- Critical care or intensive care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to medical emergencies
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently
- Demonstrated competency in electronic health record documentation
- Completion of all required VA mandatory training and credentialing requirements
- Ability to work days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Pay is:$45-50 an hour dependent on training, accreditations, schooling and years of experience
