We are seeking a dedicated and caring Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team and support individuals in achieving their personal goals while promoting dignity, independence, and community inclusion.

Position Summary
The Direct Support Professional provides direct care, supervision, and support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in residential and community settings. DSPs play a critical role in helping individuals develop life skills, maintain independence, and participate fully in their communities.

 Essential Responsibilities
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals in developing independent living and social skills.
• Administer medications and document services according to agency policies.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or overall well-being.
• Accompany individuals to community activities, appointments, and recreational outings.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and incident reports.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
• Promote individual choice, dignity, and self-advocacy.
• Follow all agency, state, and HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

 Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, or related populations preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
