REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Required
  • Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser))
  • Small Bowel biopsy
  • Lower GI endoscopy
  • Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible)
  • Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp)
• Preferred
  • Esophageal dilatation/manometry
  • Esophageal manometry interpretation
  • Rigid

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC required (Eligible)
  
• Licenses: Licensed in MD or Universal License (IMLC)
  
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS
  

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform upper endoscopy procedures (30 minutes per case)
  
• Perform colonoscopy procedures (30 minutes per case)
  
• Perform combined upper endoscopy and colonoscopy (60 minutes per case)
  
• Administer moderate sedation for endoscopic procedures
  
• Provide outpatient gastroenterology consultations and follow-up care
