Job Description
Registered Nurse & Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one private duty nursing services for medically fragile students.
- Deliver care in accordance with physician orders and individualized healthcare plans.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor student health throughout the school day.
- Respond to medical emergencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers.
- Assist students in safely accessing their educational environment.
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Tracheostomy care
- G-tube feedings
- Seizure management
- Oxygen therapy
- Suctioning
- Diabetes management
- Medication administration
Qualifications
Registered Nurse
- Active Maryland RN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Licensed Practical Nurse
- Active Maryland LPN license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
Requirements
- Ability to pass criminal background screening and fingerprinting.
- Meet all school district onboarding requirements.
- Reliable transportation.
- Professional communication and strong attendance.
