Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical design, process improvement, and
product development, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. This role involves
working closely with cross-functional teams to design, test, and improve processes
involving the conversion of materials into finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software
(e.g., SolidWorks).
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to support process optimization
and tooling improvements.
• Lead or contribute to new product development projects from concept to
production.
• Conduct testing and analysis to validate product performance and reliability.
• Create technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in production or design.
• Responsible for delivering a complete working solution to Manufacturing. Work
closely with the Manufacturing Engineer who will be receiving the machinery and
equipment.
• Perform and/or supervise the completion of equipment justification, approval and
safety inspection. Advise the Accounting department upon the completion of
projects.
• Drive continual improvement efforts, automation opportunities, and incorporation
of new technologies, improved ergonomics and reduction of scrap.
• Work closely with Quality to define monitoring and measuring controls, methods
and devices to support data collection and calibration of equipment and processes.
Prove process capability through prototype, test and report.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and company
procedures.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role (manufacturing
environment preferred).
• 3 to 5 years of project leadership experience in the Engineering area.
