Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for an organization in Greensboro, North Carolina This role is completely ON-SITE. This Long-term Contract position focuses on accurate, timely payroll processing for a mid-sized employee population while maintaining compliance with company policies and payroll regulations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with full-cycle payroll administration, including deductions and garnishment handling, and is comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process end-to-end payroll for a workforce of approximately 101 to 500 employees with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, and adjustments to ensure payroll data is complete and correctly entered before each payroll cycle.
• Administer employee garnishments, levies, and other withholdings in accordance with court orders, agency requirements, and internal procedures.
• Investigate payroll discrepancies and resolve issues related to pay amounts, deductions, and employee records in a timely manner.
• Maintain payroll files, supporting documentation, and audit-ready records to help ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
• Coordinate with HR, finance, and management to update employee payroll information such as new hires, status changes, and terminations.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and provide clear guidance on paycheck details, withholdings, and payroll-related policies.
• Experience processing payroll in a detail-oriented business environment, including full-cycle payroll administration.• Proven ability to manage payroll for an employee population ranging from 101 to 500 individuals.
• Working knowledge of payroll garnishments, deductions, and related compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Proficiency in reviewing payroll records, identifying discrepancies, and completing corrections accurately.
• Ability to work onsite in Greensboro, North Carolina and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet recurring payroll deadlines.
