Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, implement therapeutic interventions, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient conditions and develop individualized plans of care.
- Implement evidence-based treatment interventions to achieve functional goals.
- Modify treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical findings.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, including neuromuscular control, coordination, balance, and mobility evaluations.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, injury prevention, ergonomics, and overall wellness.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and family members.
- Reassess patient progress and update goals as needed.
- Coordinate patient discharge planning and provide appropriate follow-up recommendations.
- Supervise and provide guidance to physical therapy assistants and support staff.
- Participate in clinical education and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or postgraduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Alaska Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in Alaska.
- Experience in pelvic health physical therapy or a strong interest in specializing in pelvic health.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and maintain accurate documentation.
