American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology position requiring Bone Marrow Transplant experience and chemotherapy administration skills.

  • Inpatient pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit at a major academic children's hospital
  • \n
  • Patient population includes pediatric hematology and oncology patients, including those receiving bone marrow transplants and cell/gene therapy
  • \n
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • \n
  • Day shift, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
  • \n
  • Every other weekend required
  • \n
  • On-call required
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
  • \n
  • Current BLS certification required
  • \n
  • Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required; OCN preferred
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • \n
  • Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience required; experience administering cells is not required
  • \n
  • Experience with chemotherapy and blood product administration required
  • \n

  • Responsibilities include cell and gene therapy administration, blood product administration, chemotherapy and conditioning treatment administration, supportive care, and triage
  • \n
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Candidates who have been employed by this health system within the past 12 months are not eligible

  • All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration

  • 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
