Are you an experienced Machine Operator with forklift skills looking for a full-time opportunity in manufacturing? A local boat manufacturing company is seeking a dependable Machine Operator/Forklift Driver to join their 1st shift team. This position plays a key role in producing quality aluminum boat components by operating fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet production specifications.

Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a demonstrated history of reliability and job stability.

Pay: Starting at $19.61 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift
Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Overtime on Fridays as needed

Requirements

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Experience operating manufacturing or fabrication equipment preferred
Forklift experience preferred
Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and production specifications
Basic shop math skills, including measuring and calculations
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels
Ability to work safely and follow all workplace safety procedures
Candidates with a demonstrated track record of stability and commitment in previous roles are strongly preferred
This is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing, including for THC, as permitted by state and federal law
Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and safe work environment through daily housekeeping
Set up and operate conventional, specialty, and CNC equipment to fabricate aluminum parts
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, work orders, and specifications
Calculate machine settings, feeds, speeds, bend angles, and production sequences
Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards
Identify and troubleshoot machining issues and work with production staff to resolve problems
Inspect completed parts throughout the manufacturing process to ensure accuracy and quality
Safely transport materials and components using a forklift as needed
Support production goals while maintaining safety and quality expectations
Assist in training and ensuring assigned helpers follow safety and workplace procedures
