RN - Registered Nurse - Permanent Employee

Seeking a compassionate and skilled RN for a direct patient care role in a Critical Access Hospital. The position serves a diverse patient population of all ages across various units, including Medical, Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, ER, ICU, Transitional Care, and Behavioral Health.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document patient assessments, including physical, psychosocial, ethnic, cultural, and spiritual needs.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the patient and care team.

• Administer medications and treatments, and provide patient education.

• Monitor patient status, identify significant changes, and respond quickly to emergencies (e.g., rapid response, Code Blue).

• Delegate tasks and supervise nonprofessional staff.

• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards, including infection control.

• Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

• Complete shift duties efficiently and provide accurate patient reports.

• Participate in peer review and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Montana RN license, or a compact license.

• Previous licensed nursing experience is preferred.

• Required Certifications: Current BLS certification.

• Recommended Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP (can be obtained after hire).

• Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Physical: Ability to perform CPR, lift up to 50 pounds, and withstand physical/emotional stress. The role requires prolonged periods of walking, standing, and bending.

Additional Information

• RNs with demonstrated clinical leadership skills may be assigned Charge Nurse duties.

• The role may require working nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
