Sigmatech, Inc. is seeking an international affairs SME to support the administration and management of Service-level security cooperation programs, policies, strategies, plans, and guidance to global defense posture planning at its customer site in Arlington, VA.  This position will support the USSF/S5P Global Partnership Directorate of the HQ US Space Force staff.

 

Responsibilities:

Candidate will support the Global Partnership Directorate and International Affairs Program section to help:

 
  • Coordinate and synchronize USSF regional priorities and activities with Allies and Partners across pol-mil stakeholders in multiple Combatant Command Areas of Responsibility.

  • Plan and conduct Industry, Civil, and Military engagements with international Allies and Partners.

  • Support S5/8's execution of Key Leader Engagements, Space Working Groups, Space Chief's Forum, Combined Space Operations Forums, and similar engagements.

  • Ensure Service-specific security cooperation policies are consistent with DoD and DAF security cooperation policies

  • Provide Service-specific representation to international space policy fora (i.e. Combined Space Operations organization, NATO, UN).

  • Coordinate with foreign embassies/attaches on Service-specific issues.

  • Coordinate International Military Education and Training requests through Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation.

  • Serve as Service proponent for security cooperation to ensure that Space Force SC personnel have the requisite skills, training, resources, and capabilities to support security cooperation priorities.

  • Support the professionalization of the Regional Space Advisor population. Develop Service-specific strategy, doctrine, training, education, and proficiency standards for Security Cooperation work force capabilities as required.

  • Oversee and coordinate Service-specific global defense posture policy and plans, and review all Global Defense Posture issues.

  • Administer Service-specific components of Department of State Security Assistance programs as directed by SAF/IA.

  • Promulgate Security Cooperation (SC) policy; conduct Assessment, Monitoring, and Evaluation, and inform SC workforce management.

Required Skills:

  • TS Clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Familiarity with international agreements and comfortable working with international partners

  • Familiarity with DoD interaction in the international arena to include coordination with embassies and foreign attachés

Preferred Skills:

  • Pentagon knowledge and understanding of Pentagon organizations

  • Embassy or attaché experience

  • Knowledge and familiarity with current Defense Department efforts in space

  • Staff experience supporting DoD agencies within the past 3 years

  • Familiarity with TMT and/or or other HQ staffing tools

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree mandatory plus 10 years of experience in International Affairs or Operations, Policy or Planning field related to Space Defense

Preferred Experience:

  • Master's Degree focused in international affairs, foreign policy, or a related field

  • 15 years' experience supporting OSD, Service HQ or DoD Agency or IC staffs

  • Recognized DOD Security Cooperation work force credentials

 

The pay range for this position is $175,000 to $205, 000 annually depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and budgeted allocation.
