Registered Nurse Night Shift

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team for our Night Shift at Mount Joseph at Waterville. As a Registered Nurse with our organization, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality care to our residents while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse Night Shift, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to our residents, including assessment, identification of potential problems, administration of treatment, and evaluation of outcomes. You will also be required to report all significant changes in resident condition to primary care physicians, residents' families, and/or designated POAs and guardians in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for documenting nursing notes and providing a complete and concise report to the oncoming shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessment, identification of potential problems, administration of treatment, and evaluation of outcomes

  • Report all significant changes in resident condition to primary care physicians, residents' families, and/or designated POAs and guardians in a timely manner

  • Document nursing notes in a complete, concise, informative, and descriptive manner, reflecting a resident's condition

  • Attend to the needs of residents and respond promptly to their requests

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and services

  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure that residents receive comprehensive and coordinated care

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve resident outcomes and satisfaction

  • Maintain resident and staff confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in the state of Maine

  • Must be physically able to do the job effectively for your scheduled shift

  • Must be able to work independently and possess leadership and supervisory skills

  • Must be able to communicate effectively to all persons surrounding the quality of life of each of your residents

  • Professionalism: An excellent attendance record is required. You may at times be required to stay later than your scheduled shift or float to another unit depending on the needs of our residents.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to maintain professional boundaries at all times with all aspects of a resident's care

  • Must be willing and able to multi-task and not be quick to say "this is not my job"

  • Must be willing to give constructive criticism when necessary and stand up for our policies and procedures
