Smoking Attendant

Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center, an award-winning skilled nursing facility in Sandisfield, is looking for a full-time Smoking Attendant to join the team!

As a Smoking Attendant, you provide the resident with a clean and orderly smoking environment. You will also greet visitors to the facility. Weekly pay at $16.50. 7a-3p shift Monday-Friday.

Experience & Education:

• On-the-job training provided.

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The primary purpose of this job is to assist residents with smoking, lighting materials and or help with transportation to and from the designated smoking area.

• Maintain a clean designated smoking area for residents.

• Transportation of the residents to and from the designated smoking area.

• Ensuring residents maintain a safe smoking environment.

• Welcome visitors to the facility and assist with any needs.

• Other duties assigned by the Administrator.
  Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.

• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.

• Must be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.
