We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activity Aide to join our Activities Department at Robinson Terrace Rehabilitation & Nursing. Position Overview

As an Activity Aide, you will assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that promote residents' physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. Working closely with the Activities Director and interdisciplinary team, you will help create an engaging environment where residents feel valued, connected, and encouraged to participate.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing daily group and individual activities for residents.

• Encourage resident participation while respecting individual preferences, abilities, and limitations.

• Help transport residents to and from activity programs as needed.

• Set up, decorate, and clean activity areas before and after events.

• Develop positive relationships with residents and provide encouragement during activities.

• Assist with holiday celebrations, special events, outings, and themed programs.

• Maintain activity supplies and report inventory needs to the Activities Director.

• Document resident attendance and participation according to facility policy.

• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other departments to support resident-centered programming.

• Promote a safe, positive, and welcoming environment while maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Activities Director.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in activities, recreation, customer service, healthcare, or working with older adults is preferred, but not required.

• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Creativity, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

• Must be able to assist residents with mobility and activity participation as needed.
