Recreation Aide

Four Seasons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a passionate Full Time Recreation Aide to join our team!

The primary purpose of this position is to provide recreational activities for residents on various units, assisting in conducting and participating in one on one and group activity programs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Helps resident maintain their highest level of functioning and quality of life by presenting appropriate activity programs according to resident's physical capacity, cognitive ability and interest.
• Motivate resident to participate in activities that match their previous hobbies and interest.
• Delivers mail, flowers and other items to residents in timely manner and reads mail to residents upon request.
• Prepares for activity program by assuring all supplies are available and room is ready.
• Assist in safely transporting residents to and from activity programs.
• Assists with decorating facility for parties and holidays.
• Engage with residents in conversation and give one to one activities.
• Proper chart documentation or resident participation on attendance sheets.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education and Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred.

Experience:

• Long term care: at least 1 year (Preferred)
• Recreation aide: 1 year (Preferred)
