Job Description

Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is hiring an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for our 125-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) in Kenton, Ohio. We're looking for a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator who currently holds an active Ohio LNHA license and has already run a building — this is not a first-time Administrator seat. Prior nursing home experience is required.

What You'll Do

  • Own day-to-day operations of a 125-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) and long-term care (LTC) community

  • Lead and develop the department head team, working side by side with the Director of Nursing (DON) on clinical outcomes and staffing

  • Drive census and payer mix; build and maintain referral relationships with area hospitals, physicians, and the Hardin County community

  • Manage the facility budget, labor costs, and financial performance

  • Keep the building survey-ready at all times; lead the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) survey process and any plans of correction

  • Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, including Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements

  • Lead the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program

  • Recruit, retain, and support a stable team — turnover is the whole ballgame in a small market

  • Stay visible and accessible to residents, families, and staff; own resident and family satisfaction and grievance resolution

Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license in the State of Ohio — required. Out-of-state licensure without Ohio reciprocity in process will not be considered.

  • Prior experience as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in a nursing home / skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting — required. This is an experienced Administrator role, not an Administrator-in-Training (AIT) position.

  • Working knowledge of the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) survey process, plans of correction, and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations

  • Track record of census development and referral relationship building

  • Experience managing a facility budget and holding a building accountable to it

  • Strong department head leadership, including partnering with the Director of Nursing (DON)

  • Comfortable being on the floor and in the building — this is a hands-on Administrator role in a small community

What We Offer

  • A 125-bed building with a 40-year reputation in its own town and an on-site Dialysis Center

  • The support and resources of the AOM Healthcare family, with senior living and rehabilitation communities across Ohio and New York

  • A countryside campus with a courtyard, gardens, and a facility cat who does his own rounds

Apply

If you're an experienced, Ohio-licensed Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) and you want a building with roots, a real team, and a community that knows your name, apply today. We'd like to talk.
