Payroll HR Generalist

Madison Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated on site Payroll/ HR Generalist  to join our amazing team!

Position Overview

The Payroll/ HR Generalist oversees all human resources functions within our facility, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while creating a supportive and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an organized and efficient payroll system to meet facility needs

  o    Review timecards, verify hours, and ensure accurate payroll processing

  o    Process biweekly payroll and PTO requests accurately and on time

• Implement and manage written HR policies and procedures

• Oversee recruitment using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

• Lead interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes

• Investigate and resolve employee issues and conflicts professionally

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal labor laws

• Utilize performance management tools to guide and support team members

• Ensure consistent application of company HR policies

• Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with business goals

• Maintain HR systems, files, and records

• Support employee retention and engagement initiatives

Qualifications

·         Minimum 1 year of HR support or related experience

·         Healthcare experience preferred, especially in skilled nursing

·         Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
