We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LPN Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our nursing leadership team and help drive clinical excellence.

Position Summary

The LPN ADON assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department. This role is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance, staff supervision, clinical quality initiatives, and ensuring the highest standards of resident care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the DON with day-to-day clinical operations of the nursing department

  • Support staff scheduling, staffing coordination, and call-offs

  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including MN Department of Health guidelines

  • Participate in survey preparedness and quality assurance/performance improvement (QAPI) activities

  • Assist with audits, care plan reviews, and clinical documentation oversight

  • Investigate incidents and support corrective action plans

  • Promote a positive work environment and strong team culture

  • Provide direct resident care as needed

Qualifications
  • Current, active LPN license in the state of Minnesota

  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility required

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
