Automation Technician - Now Hiring

Our client in Johnston, IA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be completing research to support the agriculture and plant industry. The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree in a science related field and laboratory experience, strong computer skills and the ability to work in a team or independently. 

 Job Title: Laboratory Technician 

Location: Johnston, IA 

Pay Range: $22/hr

What’s the Job?  

• Perform general laboratory operations tasks and provide support with experimental execution. 

• Assist in plant assays including sampling, culture maintenance, and plant care. 

• Utilize lab instruments to analyze samples and record results with precision and attention 

• Perform lab duties related to sterile technique and cleaning procedures 

• Working with insect species at various life stages. 

  

What’s Needed? 

• Associate’s degree in science related field preferred- new grads encouraged to apply 

• Previous laboratory experience 

• Able to pass a background check and drug screen  

• Able to work with insects
