Pharmacy Technician – Fulfillment

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician – Fulfillment to assist with the preparation and distribution of prescription medications in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. This role is responsible for processing prescriptions through the fulfillment system, resolving insurance and prescription-related issues, and providing excellent support to patients, providers, and pharmacists while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

Pay

  • $21.00 – $22.00 per hour

3 Schedules Available

2nd Shift

  • Sunday – Tuesday & Friday | 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM
  • Sunday – Wednesday | 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM

Overnight Shift

  • Sunday – Thursday | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process prescription medications using the pharmacy fulfillment system.
  • Process prescription exceptions, including claim rejections and member or physician outreach.
  • Enter patient demographics and prescription information accurately into the pharmacy system.
  • Research and resolve insurance billing issues and escalated member concerns.
  • Escalate prescription-related questions to the Pharmacist for clinical interpretation and guidance.
  • Assist with inbound and outbound calls to patients, providers, and physician offices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2–4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Current Pharmacy Technician Registration/License as required by the state
    • Trainee licenses will be accepted if they have at least one year remaining before expiration
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (with cart assistance when appropriate)
  • Ability to stand for 8 or more hours
  • Ability to bend, squat, twist, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
