Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & System Support
- Provide Tier I–III technical support for users and enterprise systems.
- Maintain operational availability of Windows servers, workstations, and IT infrastructure.
- Respond to help desk requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, replacement, deployment, and maintenance for End User Devices (EUDs) and servers.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity issues.
Vulnerability & Patch Management
- Monitor and respond to Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) notices.
- Apply manual security patches to servers and workstations when automated deployment tools (MECM/SCCM) are unavailable.
- Assist with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation and system hardening.
- Support vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives.
Active Directory & Network Support
- Perform basic Active Directory administration, including user accounts, permissions, and Group Policy management.
- Assist with DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration.
- Support basic network configuration and troubleshooting within the DoD NIPRNET environment.
- Provide Virtual Teleconference (VTC) setup, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
End-User Training & Documentation
- Provide ad hoc training to end users to improve computer literacy and productivity.
- Develop and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation.
- Deliver excellent customer service while resolving technical issues.
Asset & Project Support
- Maintain inventory records for IT assets and End User Devices (EUDs).
- Support equipment deployments, upgrades, office moves, technology refreshes, and inventory activities.
- Assist with server modernization efforts and migration activities, including DoD cloud initiatives under senior supervision.
- Support additional IT projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting Windows-based enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Windows Server administration.
- Experience providing desktop and end-user technical support.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
