Counter Sales - Industrial Supply

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role supporting Bearing, Rubber, and Hydraulics, located in Enid, OK. The Counter Sales team brings excellent product knowledge and outstanding customer service to our customers. The team plays a vital role in supporting the company's goals and objectives by ensuring exceptional satisfaction for our customers. Counter Sales team members are responsible for taking care of walk-in customers with industrial supplies, including bearings, belts, motors, and more. This position is also responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving, inventory cycle counts, and making hose in our hose shop. This role will also be responsible for learning how to cut and crimp hose for customers while they wait.

Qualifications

• Prior sales experience preferred, but not required; training will be provided
• Excellent customer service skills, including ability to build relationships with customers
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Mechanical skillset/background a plus
• Industrial and distribution products knowledge a plus
• Prior experience cutting and crimping hydraulic hose is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with product inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register and POS system.
• Maintain inventory levels by stocking shelves and organizing products.
• Receive and ship inventory as received and sold.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits to enhance customer understanding.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure a smooth sales experience.
• Handle cash and perform cash handling duties with precision.
