The Vice President of Finance/CFO will oversee the planning, development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of the Company’s finance infrastructure and department, the IT team, the accounting team, and the operating units of Diversified Chemical Technologies, Inc. This is an Officer position.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management and professional-level staff.

• Oversees annual budget process and owns FP&A.

• Oversee finance, accounting, and IT teams.

• Oversees treasury function and maintains relationship with banking team.

• Supports the implementation and usage of MRP system upgrades

• Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with other executive staff, and skilled and trusted departmental employees, develops and implements, financial planning and analysis, profitability enhancement, long-term strategic and financial planning, day-to-day finance and accounting initiatives, merger and acquisition planning and execution and financial business of the company.

• Manage Huntington Bank relationship.

• Supports financial requests from various divisions.

• Advise leadership team on financial best practices.

• Oversee Information Technology team and maintain relationship with IT firm.

• Build and lead strategic initiatives as a member of the executive leadership team.

• Defines and implements key performance indicators and strategic objectives for the department and, as appropriate, the entire organization; facilitates measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team.

• Analyzes and communicates financial results timely with appropriate stakeholders.

• Works with the accounting and IT teams to fully upgrade and implement MRP system changes and new capabilities.

• Maintain relationship with Audit team

• Oversee administration of P&C insurance, 401k, benefits, etc.

• Drafts and implements policies and best practices to support achievement of objectives and required standards.

• Drafts business plans for new products, services, and markets.

• Ensures availability of adequate and appropriate equipment, staffing, and systems; recommends additional staffing and services.

• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including but not limited to tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS).

• Maintains knowledge of developments and trends in finance and capital markets including technological advances.

• Facilitates implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to improve productivity.

• Performs other duties as required.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Thorough knowledge of financial best practices and requirements with a proven ability to

• provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership.

• Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance and administration.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or similar required; MBA preferred.

• CPA/CMA/CFA or similar certification preferred

• At least ten years of experience in corporate accounting/finance, public accounting, banking, or similar industry.

• Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

• Must be able to travel.
