Industrial Maintenance Technician

  Objective

Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, repair, installation and removal of all equipment and machinery in the facility. Partner with leaders to meet all business objectives

  Essential Functions

Quickly respond to and resolve equipment and machinery breakdowns and emergencies.  Keep management informed of downtime

·         Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment.

·         Install and remove equipment, machinery and products.

·         Perform basic welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fabrication as needed.

·         Assist with equipment modifications and facility improvements.

·         Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs or upgrades. Perform preventive maintenance.

·         Assist with equipment modifications and facility improvements.

·         Ensure compliance with Lock Out Tag Out and all other safety and hazardous materials handling procedures.

·         Complete department paperwork, including but not limited to: OSHA records, work orders, parts and equipment orders, safety investigations and documents

·         Requires reliable, on-site attendance, Monday through Friday. Requires occasional overtime and weekend work.

·         Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 40 pounds. Must be able to stand, climb walk and crawl and reach overhead for minimum 8 hours per day.

  Minimum Qualifications

·         High School Diploma or equivalent.

·         Previous experience of welding and fabrication work.

·         Prior experience using hand and powered tools.

  Preferred Qualifications

·         Two (2) years’ experience continually working in industrial maintenance or related positions.

·         Prior experience in paper manufacturing

·         Bilingual English-Spanish
