About the Role:
Manual Physical Therapy Specialists in East Lansing, MI is looking for a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives through hands-on, evidence-based care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess patients to develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans
- Administer manual therapy techniques including joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, and myofascial release
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional movement training
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Active Michigan Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience or strong interest in manual therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation
- Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and patient assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and care teams
- Ability to manage a patient caseload efficiently in a fast-paced clinic setting
- APTA membership and manual therapy certifications (e.g., OCS, FAAOMPT) a plus
