Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and highly skilled Licensed Plumber to join our residential construction team. You will handle the layout, installation, and testing of entire water, gas, and waste disposal systems for our new construction homes, major additions, and remodel projects. From the initial ground-rough stage to setting the final high-end fixtures, your work will ensure our homes have safe, efficient, and fully compliant plumbing systems built to last.

Contract to full-time position

Key Responsibilities

  • Rough-In & Top-Out Installation: Layout, measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes, valves, and fittings using materials like PEX, PVC, ABS, copper, and black iron during the framing and pre-drywall stages.
  • Drain, Waste, and Vent (DWV) Systems: Install under-slab and above-ground DWV piping, ensuring proper slope, venting, and structural integrity.
  • Fixture & Finish Trim: Install and connect sinks, faucets, toilets, tubs, showers, garbage disposals, and major appliances (water heaters, water softeners, dishwashers).
  • Blueprint & Schematic Interpretation: Read and interpret architectural drawings, structural layouts, and plumbing schematics to plan efficient material routes and avoid conflicts with HVAC and electrical runs.
  • Testing & Inspection Prep: Perform hydrostatic and air pressure tests on supply and waste lines to ensure leak-free operation and secure passing marks from local code inspectors.
  • Safety & Code Compliance: Ensure all work meets strict local plumbing codes and uniform building guidelines, maintaining an OSHA-compliant, clean job site.
  • Apprentice Guidance: Supervise and provide practical instruction and safety training to assigned plumbing apprentices or helpers.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensure: Active Journeyman Plumber license (or state/local equivalent) in good standing.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on plumbing experience, specifically in residential new construction or extensive remodels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of standard residential plumbing methods, local plumbing codes, and material specifications (PEX, copper, PVC).
  • Tools: Ownership of standard hand tools of the trade (wrenches, cutters, torches, etc.). Major power tools and equipment will be company-provided.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics, trenches), and spend extended periods kneeling, crouching, or climbing ladders.
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to assigned residential job sites.
