American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a 13-week acute hospital assignment requiring 2 years of case management experience and an active CA RN license.

- Acute hospital Case Management department \n
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM \n
- Required to work every other weekend \n
- Floating required between like units and sister facilities based on need \n
- No on-call responsibilities \n
- Epic charting system used \n
- \n
- Active CA RN license (Compact or Standard) required in hand at submission \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital Case Management experience performing care coordination and discharge planning \n
- Prior travel nursing experience required, though first-time travelers may be considered with clinical manager approval \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting \n

- Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, prior authorizations, admission criteria review, and appeals and denials management \n
- Knowledge of CMS, DRG, HIPAA guidelines, and Joint Commission/Core Measure/National Safety Goals required \n
- Workers' compensation case management experience preferred \n
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate \n
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility \n
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) \n
- All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at the time of application \n
- Free parking provided on the first day, with assignment parking details given during orientation \n
