Job Title Solar Field Engineer

\n This position requires significant field presence, with an expected travel commitment of 75% or more to active solar construction sites throughout Virginia
.Key Responsibilitie
\n- \n
- sSupport the project management team by managing technical aspects of utility-scale solar construction projects \n
- .Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Operations, Project Controls, Technical Services, Environmental, Safety, Supply Chain, Real Estate, Tax, Business Development, and Site Owner Representatives \n
- .Interface with EPC contractors, Owner's Engineers, permitting agencies, and other external stakeholders \n
- .Participate in project status meetings and coordinate technical issue resolution \n
- .Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with EPC contract requirements, technical specifications, and permit conditions \n
- .Participate in site inspections and environmental compliance reviews \n
- .Manage project RFI and NCR logs and facilitate issue resolution \n
- .Support commissioning activities, punch list development, turnover walkdowns, and project closeout \n
- .Review contractor deliverables, including specifications, performance testing reports, and as-built drawings \n
- .Review third-party inspection and environmental reports and provide recommendations to project teams and contractors \n
- .Manage turnover documentation and milestone completion requirements \n
- .Review and provide technical input on change orders, contractor notices, milestone certifications, and other project documentation \n
- .Collaborate with other Project Engineers to promote consistency, best practices, and continuous improvement across the project portfolio \n
- .Prepare weekly project reports and presentations for internal stakeholders \n
.Required Qualification
\n- \n
- sBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program \n
- .Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience \n
- .Prior experience working as a Field Engineer or Project Engineer on utility-scale solar construction projects \n
- .Strong technical knowledge of renewable energy generation systems, solar facilities, construction methods, and electrical power systems \n
- .Experience supporting large-scale EPC construction projects \n
- .Strong understanding of power distribution and transmission systems \n
- .Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation \n

- sStrong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing \n
- .Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities \n
- .Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment \n
- .Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, Bluebeam, scheduling software, and SAP \n
- .Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams \n
- .Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills \n
