American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Family Maternity Services position requiring IL RN licensure and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Details\n- \n
- Rural OB/GYN department providing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecology, and Level I/II nursery patients \n
- Experienced labor and delivery candidates will also be considered if rural OB/GYN experience is not available \n
- Night shift schedule with 3x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours per week) \n
- Weekend shifts required \n
- Holiday shifts required on a rotating basis \n
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and/or Proctor Hospital \n
- Uses EPIC and Perigen charting systems \n
- \n
- Active IL RN license (temporary license accepted) \n
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required \n
- ASN or ADN required \n
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant nursing experience required \n
- Experience with EPIC and Perigen preferred \n
- Skilled in fetal heart monitoring (external/internal), vaginal exams, and tocolytic agent administration \n
- Proficient in the circulating nurse role for vaginal deliveries \n
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel positioning \n

- Perform full-scope nursing care including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation \n
- Assist with orientation, training, and supervision of assigned staff \n
- Participate in the transfer of maternal patients to other facilities via ambulance \n
- Instruct patients on peri-care, breast care, diet, and post-delivery/surgical activity \n
- Report and correct safety hazards and incidents as part of daily responsibilities \n
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract \n
- Contingent workers may not be continuously on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a required 6-month break in service \n
